MUJI's Vertical House.

s. spoon and tamago, designboom

MUJI has designed a dwelling in Tokyo that caters to the needs of city dwellers. The residence maximizes its small plot in order to provide spacious and brightly lit living accommodation, spread across three storeys.

The home employs a split-level system whereby appropriate functions and programs are placed side-by-side, ensuring a connected and integrated internal environment. Nothing is obstructed by either walls or doors, with the stair hall included as an additional living space. To the north, a large side window brings light, inside the property, establishing bright and airy atmosphere.

I am so in love, especially with the design allowing light to fill the home. MUJI needs to come to Singapore to design a HDB flat.
